The Heart Behind Lynqify
The Start of It All
A personal message from the founder about how it all started, the journey so far, and the commitment we make to every contractor who uses this platform.
How It Started
In 2019, I left the corporate world and started my company, Angkorscape, here in Seattle, Washington. We are a custom design-build firm specializing in outdoor living spaces.
Coming from the corporate world, I was used to structure. Everything had systems, processes, and clear workflows. But when I stepped into hardscaping, I quickly realized how different it was. There wasn’t any software that offered that same sense of organization where you could just plug in and work efficiently.
The Problems I Noticed
There are some good programs out there, but most are overly complicated and not designed for outdoor living contractors. They’re built for general contractors, lawn care companies, or small home service businesses, not for people who design and build full outdoor living spaces. That was the first thing that stood out to me.
The second thing I noticed was that even with something as basic as estimating, most software still doesn’t get it right. There’s always something missing. It’s just estimating, but somehow they make it complicated, and it always lacks the features that make the process efficient. You see a lot of feedback from users asking for improvements, but nothing ever changes.
The third thing I noticed was that even though there are many options, none of them are truly all in one. You still end up paying for extra tools just to run your business properly. There isn’t a single platform that brings everything together in one place.
The Journey to Build Lynqify
hat’s when the idea for Lynqify started forming. From the moment I started Angkorscape, I wanted to create something that could change how contractors like us operate. People around me told me it wasn’t a good idea and that the software industry was too competitive, but I couldn’t let it go. The idea stuck with me.
In 2022, I decided to move forward. I started talking to developers, trying to bring my vision to life, but it turned out to be one of the hardest parts of the journey. I spent almost two years jumping from one developer to another, trying to find the right fit. Some didn’t understand the vision, others didn’t deliver, but I refused to give up.
By 2023, I had a small beta version of the estimating feature and started showing it to people to see if I was on the right track. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. That gave me the confidence to push forward. I knew I was building something real that could make a difference in this industry.
The Launch
Un June 2024, I decided to go all in with Lynqify. I realized that to do this right, I needed my own team. Subcontractors will never care about your product the way your own people do. I wanted a team who believed in the mission as much as I did. So I hired ten full-time developers, built the company, and committed fully to it. We started development in June 2024 and launched Lynqify in February 2025.
Our Mission
The goal with Lynqify has always been simple, to create a true all-in-one platform for outdoor living professionals. Not something repurposed from another industry, but something built from the ground up for us.
It started with solving my own pain points at Angkorscape, and now it continues with yours. We will keep listening, keep improving, and keep innovating, growing alongside you to become the software that truly fits your business.
